My Last Dives on Koh Tao

Here is a collage of pictures from my last dives on Koh Tao. After 1,390 dives since arriving on Koh Tao it is a shame to have to say goodbye to the beautiful island but it is time to move on. I am heading home to see my family and friends before going to Australia to see whether I can continue a career in diving with a research project.

Whaleshark!!

This morning I went out to Chumpon Pinnacle and when we arrived everyone there was shouting and screaming about seeing a Whaleshark so we dived straight in and headed North from the pinnacle. After 15 mins of searching we came across the most beautiful thing I have ever seen underwater.... a 3.5m Whaleshark gracefully swimming around, covered in Ramoras. It was a stunning sight to see and we followed it for another 40 minutes until 3 of us were on 40 bar and it was time to go up and change tanks. After 500+ dives on Koh Tao and 16 months of waiting I have finally seen a Whaleshark and it was worth waiting for!!!

Hi

As every seems to be sending me these address book reminders I thought it would be a good idea to try and catch up with everyone again as I have been living life on a tropical island for the last 17 months so,
